Elender Wall is a classical soprano. A champion of new works, she has had many operas and chamber pieces written for her. She most recently created the leading role of “The Statue of Liberty” in the world premiere opera “Red, White and Blue” by composer Susan Asbjornson for the Contemporary Opera of Los Angeles, and the role of Fatso (a dog) in Ms. Asbjornson’s opera “Cindy Lou.” She created the roles of Acacia and Serena in the new opera “The Tree,” an opera that addresses urban sprawl. It was written and directed by Peter Wing Healey with music by Linda Dowdell, and debuted at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. She currently plays the Queen of Hearts in the Guild Opera’s school touring production of “Alice in Wonderland” by Los Angeles composer Robert Chauls, in which she is delighted to frighten little children with her “Off with her Head” aria. She performed the role with the Valley Orchestra in their 2007-2008 concert season, as well. She has also performed the role of Mistress Quickly in Gordon Getty's opera, "Plump Jack."

Conventional roles performed include Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni,” the Mother and the Witch in “Hansel and Gretel,” Poppea in “Coronation of Poppea,” and Giulietta in “Tales of Hoffman.”

Ms. Wall won international attention and acclaim for her debut CD, “The Poetry of Donald Rumsfeld and Other Fresh American Art Songs.” The title song cycle, by composer and pianist Bryant Kong, uses as its lyrics the exact words of the Secretary of Defense, to highly humorous effect. The CD has been featured on CNN, NPR, the BBC, German and Japanese television, and more worldwide. The corresponding concert tour, the "Weapons of Mass Distraction Tour," just concluded with an appearance at Kung Pao Kosher Comedy’s Going Away Party for George Bush in San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre.

Ms. Wall was the featured singer for the national tour of the Sonos Handbell Ensemble, singing the new piece "Hell's Belles" by Libby Larsen, composed for the ensemble, in addition to pieces by Ginistera and de Falla and Ladino songs by Yzekiel Braun.

Ms. Wall recently sang the soprano solo in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Valley Symphony in Los Angeles’ Gindi Auditorium.

In addition to her singing, Elender is a professional belly dancer, a model and an actress. She is a member of the prestigious Screen Actor’s Guild.

A renaissance woman, Elender has a degree in Physics and wrote a Physics Textbook, “Introductory Physics: A Problem-Solving Approach” by Jesse David Wall and Elender Wall, published by Analog Press.
